Large building with offices, all these years it happens that i open like a gent the central entrance door to the ladies, one out of ten says ''thank you'', ok i will make it three out of ten considering that i suffer from some hearing loss from all the army heavy weapons firing and maybe i am not picking some muffled 'thanks'' , the men who say ''thank you'' are 9 out of 10.

What the f is going on with these women? Or it's just Greek women and their mentality...

No large office buildings here... or large buildings at all for that matter (small town), but women pretty much all say thanks when you open or hold a door for them. Which I try to do.

In our office there are several doors before you get to the first floor.

So when people return from lunch following happens: first guy in line holds the door for others (gets in last), then second guy holds the next door open and so on. Thank you is not expected.

I think it's army influence, there first guy in line holds the door open for others before going in.
