Hey, Isaiah here. I'm a teenage military enthusiast who loves military-grade firearms, vehicles, and other military equipment. I'd have to say, I am more interested in eastern armed forces more than western armed forces ,but;all of the world's armed forces are compelling to me. I love ARs and Carbines! My favorite assault rifles would have to be the AK74M and the QBZ-97 (Sorry, I love modern Russian/Chinese weapons). Anyways, I am glad to be here on MI, thank you for having me!

I like the look of the QJY 88, What do we know about it?

Chinese LMG, designed in the late 80's by China North Industries, made to replace the Type 67 in the Chinese PLA; which was very unsuccessful.

Many Chinese weapons during that time were carbon copies of Soviet weapons. The QJY 88 or "Type" 88, looks very much like the PK/PKM. Another example would be the Type 63, a Chinese carbon copy of the Russian SKS. Though the Type 63 uses an AK47 rotating bolt system, rather than the tilting bolt system of the SKS.
