Thailand will acquire R600 8x8 armoured vehicles for its naval infantry units.
Panus tested the indigenous designed and manufactured R600 8x8 wheeled Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV) prototype at the Royal Thai Marine Corps, Royal Thai Navy at Royal Thai Army's Vehicle Test Range in Kanchanaburi province in August 2019.

September 27, 2021, at the Sattahip naval base of the Thai Navy, during a military parade, VN16 amphibious tanks manufactured by the Chinese corporation NORINCO were demonstrated for the first time. VN-16 are designed to equip the Project 071E landing helicopter dock ship under construction in China for the Thai Navy.
