USN:
USS Macon (CA-132) steaming up the Detroit River on her way to Chicago, June 1959. Macon was one of the short-lived Baltimore's commissioned too late to see service in WWII. Decommissioned too early to see service in Vietnam, she was serving in the Atlantic during Korea.
Imperial Japan:
August 31, 1945. Yokosuka Naval District. Battleship Nagato lies at anchor the day after her surrender to US Navy. Note: Grumman TBM-3 Avenger torpedo bomber from USS Independence is seen in the air.
USN:

A formation of eight Vought F-8C Crusaders, one RF-8G, four Douglas A-4B Skyhawks, and eight A-4Cs from Attack Carrier Air Wing 8 (CVW-8) approaches United States Navy surface units during a Mediterranean air show, 1968 CVW-8 was assigned to the aircraft carrier USS Shangri-La (CVA-38), visible in the background, for a deployment to the Mediterranean Sea from 15 November 1967 to 4 August 1968.
