William Alexander Achard GIBBONS

Extended Description
Lieutenant 269296, Royal Engineers attached to the 24th Royal Bombay Sappers and Miners, Indian Engineers wounded in Arakan February 1944 and died of wounds and beri beri whilst a Japanese prisoner of war in Rangoon on the 14th June 1944 aged 21. Son of William Ernest & Alma Juliet Pauline of Tattenhall, Staffordshire.

Buried at Rangoon War cemetery, Burma


This memorial is situated at the National Memorial Arboretum, Alrewas, Staffordshire
