- Will (Memorial has William) WOODIFIELD, Sick Bay Steward 350434, Royal Navy on HMS Russell. (Naval record show DoB 27th October 1875) Born 1873 in the registration district of Islington,Middlesex to William Cheasley John Woodifield and Ann Seagar. In 1891 he was living with his parents and siblings at 22 Ferne Park Road, Hornsey, Middlesex. Enlisted 31st August 1896, occupation prior to enlistment, clerk. Died 13th June 1910 aged 34 on board ship of tuberculosis. This stone was erected by the Ship's Company as a token of respect. His brother was informed of his death 13th June 1910. At rest in Plot B Grave 188, Capuccini Naval Cemetery, Malta. N.B. His birth name was Will Woodifield)
