He's correct, it's USS New Jersey, absolutely not USS New York. If you look closely at the bow you can see number "2" and USS New Jersey is BB-62. Another thing, visible on the ship is several Phalanx CIWS, they have been used only after 1978 and USS New York was decomissioned 1946.
