Yes, it is....24 hours a day, seven days a week, and the guard has been uninterrupted since Nov 11, 1921. The guard is a unit of the 3rd infantry. Known as the "old guard", this unit is especially selected and specially trained for this function. Visitors to the tomb try to time their visit to see the changing of the guard which is noted for its precision and timing.
