WRAY Thomas John. Stoker 1st Class, K/17972 Royal Navy on HMS Theseus (Europa). Born 23 February 1895 at West Ham, Essex to Mary Elizabeth Wray, of 148 Elsa Street, Stepney, London who was informed of his death Enlisted 28 February 1917 on HMS Pembroke II. Occupation prior to enlistment, waiter in a coffee shop. Died 24th September 1917 aged 22 years in Royal Naval Hospital, Bighi, Malta from general tuberculosis. At rest in Plot C Grave 356 Capuccini Naval Cemetery, Malta.
