Private 3033371 Thomas BAILIE.4th Canadian Infantry.
Born 19 April 1877 to William and Catherine Bailie, nee Kim of Church Lane, Donaghadee. Husband of Agnes Bailie nee Bennett who he married the 28 September 1896 at Bally Copeland Church, Co Down. At some date they resided at 14 Hunter's Lane, Donaghadee, Co. Down, Ireland.
Commemorated on a family memorial in Donaghadee Parish Churchyard, Co Down Northern Ireland.
Killed in action 01 October 1918 aged 42. At rest in Sancourt British Cemetery, France.

Enlisted 21 January 1918. Residence at time of enlistment, Sioux City, Iowa, U.S.A.
Embarked Canada 25 March 1918, arrived in England 3rd April 1918. Taken on strength with 3rd Reserve at Witley (Canadian) Military Camp, Surrey. Arrived in France 13 August 1918 and marched to Canadian Base Depot. Left C.B.D for 4th Canadian Battalion 15 August 1918 and joined the 4th in the field 16 August 1918. His record also show that he was wounded and in hospital 01 October 1918, another show that he was killed in action the same day.
