I seemed to remember that the 'Saving Private Ryan' Tiger Tank was supposed to have been converted from a T-34. If you look at the tank in the movie and this one, it appears they have T-34 type tracks, instead of the distinctive wide Tiger ones. I did some digging around and came up with this, where the 'notes' mention where the movie 'Tigers' came from:
