The Purple Heart

Webmaster, this medal wasn't issued for bravery, however, it was awarded to alot of brave men/women. This is given for being WOUNDED IN COMBAT. It can also be awarded posthumously.

Multiple times wounded was represented by the addition of oak leaf clusters added to the ribbon, one for each incident. A soldier wounded twice would have the medal with one oak leaf cluster, and so on.
