I had o collection of over 25 of those, all in Museum like condition and very accurate to shoot with, the special 7.5 mm cartridge (called GP11 or Gewehrpatrone 11) was real fabulous ammunition with high accuracy. Although in peace times the cartridge handed out to the swiss army soldiers as their home reserve is only loaded a part of what the "Kriegsmunition" is loaded, it still is very accurate together with this Schmidt Rubin "Langgewehr" (Long Rifle) as it is called originally. Until today the soldier can shoot his annual exercise compulsory shooting with this rifle, if he is choosing to do so. Today the new rifles work with standard NATO ammunition, higher velocity but less bullet energy.
