Gregory Browne (1820-1886) was the proprietor of the Star Inn, 60 Wellington Street. Woolwich. About 1850 he became associated with the Royal Artillery, keeping the canteen at the barracks, and also the one at the camp on Woolwich Common.(Shrapnell Barracks)
