Roy Nelson Victor McGUFFIE. Air Mechanic 2nd Class 3261, 7th Training Squadron, Australian Flying Corps died 19th February 1919 aged 31. He was born at Hobart on the 12th December 1887 to Daniel and Marie McGuffie, husband of Lucy Veronica McGuffie, of Cooktown, Queensland. Born in Tasmania. At rest in Leighterton Church Cemetery, Gloucestershire.
He joined up on the 1st February 1918 aged 20 and 1 month, into the A.F.C. His occupation, prior to enlistment was a light horse keeper. His wife Lucy Veronica care of the Post Office, Cookstown, Queensland, was his next of kin. He died of Pneumonia in the A.F.C. (Cottage Hospital) Tetbury, Gloucestershire.
