General Richard HILTON, D.S.O., M.C., D.F.C., and Bar. Order of St Olav of the Royal Artillery and The Royal Flying Corps who died in 1981 age 87. On behalf of the Allied Liberating Forces in 1945
he accepted the surrender of Norway from the
occupying power He was the husband of Phyllis and father of Sir Peter
