Regiment Huzaren Prins Alexander

The Regiment Huzaren Prins Alexander is an armoured regiment of the Royal Netherlands Army, named after Prince Alexander, the second son of King Willem II. My dad was in this regiment from 1954 until 1956 and was also stationed in Germany. This photo shows him (far right) and his mates, posing with some very large bullets :-)

Im ashamed of myself.
One of the primary reasons of this site is to host original images such as this, however it seems I missed this one along the way.
A great picture Ratel, its original and worthy of comment. I salute your father and thank you for posting it. (Y)

Droney I think your right about the calibre of the ammo.

I really like these photos of comrades-in-arms during their service days, they're a little piece of history captured in a moment in time. sal;

Also, that looks like some good WWII vintage vehicles in the background.

Very nice pic. It's easy to miss out on pics when there are plenty being posted at the one time.

Most of the viewers will have been people too shy to even register on the site, so they couldn't comment if they wanted to... Not sure how to best encourage them to join.
