I found a selection of slides in a box the other day. They were from the period when I was stationed at RAF Finningly for the Royal Review, a young 18 year old RAF photographer.

The photo is of a Phantom of 19 Squadron.

On the 31th December 1976 19 Sqn obtained Phantom FGR Mk2s and were stationed at RAF Wildenrath in Germany. This was a result of the Lightning squadron equipping 19 disbanding at RAF Gutersloh (Northern Germany).

It continued to operated as part of RAF Germany wing until disbanded on 9 January 1992.
