Napier Barracks

This photograph is from inside Napier Barracks and is published by kind permission of Bernhard Weiss who runs the "Fliegerhorste" (Air- Stations) web site. Fliegerhorste
After handover to the German authorities, work began to dig up the old airstrip and remove pre war munitions. These photographs depict Napier Barracks, Dortmund after the British Forces had left. I was stationed here for a very short time with 12 Air Defence Regiment RA.

This was RHQ of 22 Air Regt RA, before we handed over to 16 Regt in '93- such a shame to see what it has become, had some good memories of Rapier Bks.

This was the Bty offices HQ, 53, 42 & 11 when i was at Napier such a shame that a nice camp has been left to decay

Has anyone got some photos of Napier Barracks 1991 as it was back then? Anyone knew of Gunner Kelly 24900632 Royal Artillery Air Defence Regiment? Can’t remember which number eg 12 perhaps.
