Nairac Robert Laurence (George Cross)

Captain 493007 Grenadier Guards and Liaison officer to the Special Air Service
Born 31st August 1948 and was murdered by the IRA after being captured and tortured about 14th May 1977 aged 29. He was posthumously awarded the George Cross

This memorial is situated at the National Memorial Arboretum, Alrewas, Staffordshire

I have been informed that Capatain Nairac was in fact a liaison officer and not officially SAS. Anybody have any more information about him and his role with the SAS
