These members of His Majesty's Forces died in the service of their country and were cremated.

BARTRAM Reginald Sidney. Captain 114141 , Royal Engineers died 19th January 1943. Son of Reginald Henry and Ellen Bartram; husband of Lily Florence Bartram of Harrogate. (Wills and Admin, Ancestry) He lived at 57 Forest Lane, Harrogate and died on war service 19th January 1943. Effects went to Lily Florence Bartram, widow and Pamela Ellen Bartram, spinster. His remains were cremated and he is commemorated on a memorial plaque at Stonefall Cemetery, Harrogate, Yorkshire.

BLAIKIE John Campbell. Captain 135069 Royal Signals. Died 29 September 1946 aged 21 in the registration district of Richmond, Yorkshire. (Wills and Admin, Ancestry) He lived at Burlington Highcliff Road, Swanage, Dorsetshire. Died 29th September 1946 at 14 Harley Hill, Catterick Camp, Yorkshire. His effects went to his parents Colonel, Cuthbert James Blaikie and Helen Dorothea. He was born about 1921. His remains were cremated and he is commemorated on a memorial plaque at Stonefall Cemetery, Harrogate, Yorkshire.

HALY Edward Fred Hutchinson. D.F.C. Flying Officer, Pilot 144462, Royal Air Force (VR) died in Berkshire, 17th September 1944 aged 23 in the registration district of Wetherby, Yorkshire. Son of John and Edith Marie Haly husband of Daphne Pauline Haly, nee Biles of Wokingham, Berkshire. (Wills and Admin, Ancestry) He lived at Long Thatch, Honey Hill, Wokingham, Berkshire. Died 17th September 1944 on war service. His effects went to Daphne Pauline Haly, widow. His remains were cremated and he is commemorated on a memorial plaque at Stonefall Cemetery, Harrogate, Yorkshire.

HELEY Esme Joan. Aircraft Woman 2nd Class 2020146, Women's Auxiliary Air Service died 30th December 1941. Born 1921 in the registration district of Brentford, Buckinghamshire and died aged 20 in the registration district of Knaresborough, Yorkshire. Daughter of Owen and Ellen, nee Perkins. Her remains were cremated and she is commemorated on a memorial plaque at Stonefall Cemetery, Harrogate, Yorkshire.

MILNER Harry Parkinson. Aircraftsman Class 2, 1359467 Royal Air Force, (VR). Died 24th December 1940 aged 27 in the registration district of Uxbridge, Middlesex. Son of Hermann Briggs Milner and Sarah Elizabeth (nee Parkinson) Milner of Harrogate. (Wills and Admin, Ancestry) He lived at 8 Roslyn Road, Harrogate, died on war service 24th December 1940. His effects went to The Yorkshire Penny Bank Ltd. His remains were cremated and he is commemorated on a memorial plaque at Stonefall Cemetery, Harrogate, Yorkshire.

PEVERLEY Kenneth William. Sergeant Navigator, 1334693 Royal Air Force (VR) died 24th March 1943 aged 20 in the registration district of Wetherby, Yorkshire. Son of Watson Evans and Dora Peverley, of Dover. (Wills and Admin, Ancestry) He lived at 157 or (257) Folkestone Road, Dover, died on war service 24th March 1943. His effects went to Dora Peverley, widow. His remains were cremated and he is commemorated on a memorial plaque at Stonefall Cemetery, Harrogate, Yorkshire. His father Watson Evans, Pilot (Water) serving with the Lighthouse and Pilotage Authorities died 3rd November 1943 aged 51. He lived at 257 or (157) Folkestone Road, Dover presumed to have died at sea on the 3rd November 1943, his effects went to Dora his wife.

VESTEY-JONES William. Major 107611 Pioneer Corps died 22nd October 1942 aged 47 in the registration district of Knaresborough, Yorkshire. Son of David Daniel Jones and Florence Martha nee Vestey. Husband of Emily Vestry-Jones, native of Canada. (Wills and Admin, Ancestry) Lives at 35 Park Drive Harrogate died 22nd October 1942, his effects went to Emily Vesty-Jones, widow. His remains were cremated and he is commemorated on a memorial plaque at Stonefall Cemetery, Harrogate, Yorkshire.

WATTERSON Arnold Irwin. Flying Officer, Pilot 41638, 58th Squadron Royal Air Force died 24th September 1940 aged 23. Only son of Mr and Mrs E J Watterson of 28 Fourth Avenue, Ottawa Ontario, Canada. He arrived into this country aged 21, on the 29th October 1938 and ship, Ascanias from Canada. He was serving with the Royal Air Force to be stationed at Airworks Ltd Perth, Scotland He enlisted into the R.A.F. on the 21st October 1938 and sailed from Montreal for England. Former student of Glebe Collegiate Institute and St Patricks College. His parents were the only surviving relatives. His remains were cremated and he is commemorated on a memorial plaque at Stonefall Cemetery, Harrogate, Yorkshire.

WHITE Peter Adolphus. Sergeant Air Bomber 1030030, Royal Air Force (VR) died 4th April 1943 aged 22 in the registration district of Shardlow, Derbyshire. Son of Robert Adolphus and Hilda Margaret White of Harrogate. (Wills and Admin, Ancestry) He lived at 16 Leadhall Lane, Harrogate, died on war service 17th July 1943. His effects went to Robert Adolphus White, retired bank official. His remains were cremated and he is commemorated on a memorial plaque at Stonefall Cemetery, Harrogate, Yorkshire.

WILSON John Crossby. Private S/5346153, Royal Army Service Corps died 8th July 1946 aged 32 in the registration district of Wortley, Yorkshire. Son of Herbert and Edith Wilson and stepson of Mrs M.E. Wilson, of Harrogate. (Wills and Admin, Ancestry) He lived at 46 Pannal Ash Drive Harrogate died on the 8th July 1946 at Wharncliffe Emergency Hospital, Sheffield. His effects went to Harold Jowitt insurance broker. His remains were cremated and he is commemorated on a memorial plaque at Stonefall Cemetery, Harrogate, Yorkshire.

WINSTANLEY David Ashmall. Lance Sergeant 2331973 Royal Corps of Signals, died 7th June 1942 aged 22 in the registration district of Knaresborough, Yorkshire. (Wills and Admin, Ancestry) David Ashmall Winstanley of Wingrove died on war service 8th June 1942. His effects went to Gwendoline Mollie Winstanley, nee Thornton, his widow, who he married in 1940 and Henry Murray Winstanley, consulting engineer. Born in Berkshire, Sussex. His remains were cremated and he is commemorated on a memorial plaque at Stonefall Cemetery, Harrogate, Yorkshire.

LEE Donald. Sergeant Pilot 1068365, 616 Squadron, Royal Air Force (VR) died 30th July 1942 aged 21 in the registration district of Bromley, Kent. His remains were cremated and he is commemorated on a memorial plaque at Stonefall Cemetery, Harrogate, Yorkshire.
