Lance Sergeant 4035509, 6th Durham Light Infantry, killed in action in Normandy, 9th August 1944 aged 24. Son of Ambrose George and Violet of Alport, Derbyshire. Commemorated on his parents memorial in Whitchurch Cemetery, Shropshire and is buried in Hottot-Les-Bagues War Cemetery, Calvados, France
