Louis Cooke KETTLE

Extended Description
Place here by his brothers and sisters in affectionate remembrance of
Louis Cook KETTLE, Captain, Adjutant. The South Staffs Regiment who died at Allahabad on the 24th day of November 1906 in his 38th year. He was born in 1869 to Sir Rupert Alfred and Mary and he was the husband of Juliet Mercy nee Rowlatt who he married at Ross, Gloucestershire in 1894. They had one issue. Louis Rowlatt Kettle (1896-1954) On the 29th March 1890 commissioned 2nd Lieutenant, 15th July 1891, to Lieutenant, on the 9th October 1899 Captain and the 1st March 1903, Adjutant of the regiment. (Will and Admin, Ancestry) & KETTLE Louis Cooke of the South Staffordshire-regiment died 24th November 1906 at Allahabad, India. Probate London 16th March to William Cooke Kettle and John Friend Rowlatt solicitors Effects 1710 4s 11d. Resworn 1592 0s 9d

Just received this FYI

Dear Sir/Madam, in the extended description of the above named memorial, it is stated that he and his wife Juliet had one issue, Louis Rowlatt Kettle (1896-1954). In fact they had two sons. The elder son was Rupert Arthur Kettle (1895-1918), who was killed in action in North France. I thought I would let you know in case you would like to update the description.
