Died in France 19 November 1918 aged 19.

Born on the 18th June 1895 to Joseph and Florence Beatrice of the Hen and Chickens, 37 Longden, Coleham, Shrewsbury.

Brother of Alfred Victor and Ernest who both fell in the Great War.

At rest in St Sever Cemetery Extension Rouen France.

Commemorated on a family headstone at

Shrewsbury Cemetery, Shropshire.

Also commemorated on this headstone are his brothers -
Company Quartermaster Sergeant Ernest WINFIELD. No 6188 34th Coy Machine Gun Corps formerly 9099 King's Shropshire Light Infantry.
Killed in action 19 April 1918 aged 27

Commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial, Belgium.
