1911 his parents and siblings were residing at 20 Station Road, Kensal Rise NW London
1939 with his parents at 37 Neossmia Avenue Hampstead, London, occupation shipping clerk (export department) Husband of Alice Mary White, nee English of Jesmond, Northumberland.
He was part crew of seven in a Liberator V FL947 which was attacked by Ju88’s and shot down over the Bay of Biscay 13th May 1943 aged 31 years. Five of the crew including the above died at the scene, 2 survived and was picked up two days later. One died died the following day after being rescued, only the pilot survived P/O/G. Willerton.
Commemorated on a memorial seat at the Memorial Arboretum Alrewas Staffordshire also on the Runnymede Memorial, Surrey.
