Craftsman 14302918, James TIPPING, Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, attached to. "C" Sqn., 147th (10th Bn. The Hampshire Regt.) Regt. Royal killed at Rouen, 16th July 1944, 35 He was the son of Joseph and Florance Tipping; husband of Jessie V. Tipping, of Brereton Heath, Cheshire. Commemorated on a family memorial at St Mary's churchyard, Astbury, Cheshire and is buried at St. Manvieu War Cemetery, Cheux, Calvados, France
