Enlisted in the Durham Light Infantry 3rd Sept. 1914 and transferred to the RNVR 9th Sept. 1914 Hood Battalion. Born Medomsley, Durham 5th Sept. 1893. A Miner. Son of Luke Fenwick and Isabella nee Fawcett, of Ashfield House, Ebchester, Durham and resided with his father on enlistment. ; 1914 Star issued to father 25/1/21

William PEMBERTON. Sergeant 1203, 1/4th East Lancashire Regiment. Son of James Henry and Lavinia Pemberton, 502 Whalley New Road, Blackburn, Lancashire. Died of wounds 13th June 1915 aged 25 from injuries received at Gallipoli. Son of James Henry who was granted a war gratuity on the 15th October 1915 revised 12th July 1919. At rest in Pembroke Military Cemetery. P.VI/R6/G2 (P6.R6.G2)
