Captain George MILNES Army Ordnance Corps, Inspector of Ordnance Machinery 2nd Class
Born 29 May 1860 at Clay Cross to George and Ann Milnes, nee Unwin. 1861 with his parents and siblings at Clay Lane, Clay Cross. 1871 with his parents and siblings at Stoppards Row, Clay Cross. 1881 with his parents and siblings at Clay Lane, Clay Cross, Derbyshire, occupation engine fitters apprentice.
1891with his wife Alice Kelly nee Trevis at Chestnut Road, Plumstead, London, occupation, mechanical draughtsman
He joined the Army Ordnance Corps about 1892, posted to Burman and was inspector of Ordnance Machinery, Rangoon Defences.
Commemorated on a family memorial in Clay Cross Cemetery, Derbyshire.
Died at Rangoon Burma 11th July 1903 aged 43. At rest in Burma
