- George Clerk IRVING, Surgeon-Major, M.S.C., Army Medical Department died 22nd October 1885 aged 40 of dysentery at Rocklands, Sliema, Malta.

Agnes Henrietta Susan SAMMUT, aged 23 years, spinster, daughter of Joseph Sammut MD, Physician, married 29th March 1880, to George Clerk IRVING, aged 34 years, bachelor, Surgeon-Major, the son of Alexander Irving, Major-General. Their son George Moncrieff, born in Malta was buried 23rd May 1889 aged 3 years and 6 months. Both are at rest in Ta Braxia Cemetery, Malta.
