Extended Description: WOMBELL Tablet, St Michaels Church, Coxwold, Yorkshire.

WOMBELL George, Lieutenant, Kings Royal Rifles. Born at Newburgh November 1st 1865, died at Meerut, India January 18th 1889 and buried there.

WOMBELL, Stephen Frederick. Captain, 3rd Battalion Imperial Yeomanry. Born at Newburgh February 19th 1867, died at Vryburg, S Africa 1st February 1901 and buried there.

This Tablet is erected by the tenants of the estate of Sir George Orby WOMBELL, Bart, in loving memory of his two sons who died in the service of their country. Thy will be done.
