G120 HORATIO THORNTON-JONES. Lieutenant Commander Royal Navy on HMS Royal Sovereign. Born 10 February 1900 at Beaumaris, Anglesy, Wales to William Thornton and Jane Jennie Jones, nee Rowland 1900 residing with his parents , siblings and step siblings at Chauntry House, Beaumaris. 1911 a school boarder 1 Colet House Rhyl, St Asph, Denbighshire aged 11 years. May 1913 he was at a naval training establishment. Promoted to Sub-Lieutenant 15 May 1918. On the 18 April 1925 he married Margaret Lilian Mary Robinson at St George, Hanover Square, London. Promoted Lieutenant 15 October 1925 and Lieutenant Commander 15 October 1928. Died by his own hand on board his ship 1st March 1934 aged 34 years. He committed suicide with gunshot wound to head, whilst being of unsound mind.
His wife Margaret Lilian Mary Thornton-Jones passed away in 1971 in Stepney, London.

At rest in Plot G grave 120 Capuccini Naval Cemetery, Malta.
