Geoff Stephenson

Fine young men

The Royal Marine Contingent on photo call aboard HMS Sheffield. Again my father is in the photo, 3rd row from front, 4 in from left. Marine CHX 1765 Stanley Stephenson. I also submitted a photo of marines on standby, which highlighted the way these fine men lived for 6 years, I have lots more photo's to scan and submit for those of us who care.
I can assure you geoff that all our members care and would love to see all the photos you so generously share with us.

Absolutely right we do care and can't wait to see the photos of Stanley and his pals. Bring them on geoff, they will be treated and commented on with great care.

Your uploading of these fantstic images demonstrates your trust in our site.
Your photos will only assist inmaking this site a great experience for all who register. :)

I think you will be suprised how many people care geoff, even in this confused and crazy world. Thanks again

My father Marine Jock Davidson is the tallest figure in the second row from the rear. Promotion in the RM was slow. He transferred to the Royal Navy regulating branch to become a Leading Patrolman and later a RPO.
Thank you Geoff Stephenson for posting these photographs. I hope you may see your father in some I have of the RM in SHEFFIELD that I soon intend to post.
