BRANNAN, E A, Royal Corps of Signals. He was on the Burma Railway 1942 to 1945. Daughter, Sue, son, Ernie, much missed
He was Signalman 2566698, Ernest Alfred BRANNAN, he was captured in Singapore on the 15th February 1942. His father lived at 43, Westbury Street, Derby he married in 1948 to Sarah A Mather and he died on the 21 March 1996 aged 82. DOB, 10th November 1913.) R.I.P. Ernest.

This poppy cross memorial is at foot of a post with the names of Thailand, Kanchanburi and Chungkai, beside the FEPOW Memorial Building at the National Memorial Arboretum, Alrewas, Staffordshire (August 2015) On the 19th November 2010 he was also commemorated on a poppy cross memorial on the Kawi Railway Memorial
