This missile was canceled just as it was showing promise. Designed as an air-portable, mobile missile, to be mounted on a 3-ton Bedford truck, with the ability to shoot and scoot. Originally called Red Rose, the missile may have been a modified Red Shoes SAGW, but the requirement demanded a completely new missile.
Blue water was to be fitted with a modified Red Beard warhead, possibly a warhead called "Tony". Powered by a modified Cuckoo rocket motor, Blue Water was to have a range of 55 miles (88.5Km). Blue Water was canceled and the British Army purchased the larger more expensive and less capable Honest John from the USA.
