Tree dedication plaque at the National Memorial Arboretum, Alrewas, Staffordshire.

Private 24205519, Desmond A CALDWELL aged 44 (Status,Civilian). Killed by the Irish Republican Army. Killed by booby trap bomb attached to cab of lorry, at his workplace, Killen, near Castlederg, County Tyrone. on the 12th December 1986 Mistaken for off duty Royal Ulster Constabulary (RUC) reservist. ( He was infact ex UDR and the IRA did not realise that)
