- D704 FREDERICK GEORGE HOBBS. Ordinary Seaman C/JX170057, HMS St. Angelo, shore base, Malta. Born 1919 to Herbert Henry and Bessie Ray Hobbs, of Rye, Sussex. Died 24th April 1940 aged 21 years at Royal Naval Hospital, Malta of rubella and endocarditis due to rheumatism.
