- Private 5047701 Cyril WHITING, 2nd North Staffordshire Regiment. Killed in action at Anzio, 30th May 1944 aged 28. Son of Arthur and Minnie May Wood, husband of Doris nee Bennion who he married 13 August 1934. At the time of his marriage he was residing at 4 Snow Hill, Stafford. At rest in Beach Head War Cemetery, Anzio, Italy

Private 23546461, Arthur WHITING, Staffordshire Regiment Born on the 12th February 1940 Drowned in a boating accident on Naivash Lake, Nakuru County, Kenya, while off duty with two of his friends 21st October 1962 aged 22. He had not long been married and his wife was getting ready to join him. Her clothing etc had already been sent to him. No record was found as the outcome of friends.
