Corporal David George O'Connor. Charlie Company (C.Coy) 40 Commando Royal Marines, Based at Patrol Base 1 in the southern part of Nahr-e-Saraj District, Helmand Province, along with Corporal Channing Day, from 3 Medical Regiment were killed in Afghanistan on Wednesday 24 October 2012 participating in a patrol to conduct low level training with the Afghan Local Police when they came under fire near the village of Char Kutsa, both were fatally injured. Cpl O’Connor was 27years.
At rest in Grave 31 Section Garden Chichester Crematorium.
