The photo is shown between page 206 & 207 and has this written above
A badly wounded man is rushed to the rear but he died thirty minutes after this photo was taken
 
A still from the 1915 propaganda film The Battle of the Somme, showing a British soldier rescuing a mortally wounded comrade under fire. Although the documentary included staged scenes, this frame was taken from a real combat scene.

Battle of the Somme, boss. I edited it because Verdun and the Somme aren’t close even to European standards. ;)
