Arthur Sydney ASHFORD. Born 1911 in Malta to Frances Mary nee Wesson and Master Gunner Joseph Ashford, Royal Garrison Artillery. Born 26th March 1911, He resided aged 1 month with his parents and siblings in military married quarters, Malta.
Died 22nd November 1911 aged 7 months.

Information re his father -

Joseph ASHFORD. Master Gunner in the Royal Garrison Artillery. Born 1877 at Kenilworth, Warwickshire to Joseph and Sarah Ashford, nee Horn.
He was married 8 December 1903 to Frances Mary Wesson at St Marks Church, New Milverton, Warwickshire. 1911 he was stationed and residing in married quarters in Malta with his wife and children which included Arthur Sydney. His rank 3rd Class Master Gunner, Royal Garrison Artillery.

When his daughter Betty was married in June 1930, he was a retired Captain. He died 8 December 1942 in London.

Joseph ASHFORD of 100 Chestnut Rise, Plumstead, London died 21 November 1942. Probate at Llandudno 8 December 1942. Effects to his son Reginald Wesson Ashford RAF Officer.

Reginald served as Sergeant 335846 Royal Air Force.
Awarded the M.B.E 14 June 1945
Supplement to the London Gazette dated 14 October 1952
