Born 08 April 1873 to William Alfred Rombulow and Blanche Eleanor Pearse nee Cookesley
1881 with his parents and siblings at Parndon Lodge, Little Parndon, Essex.
1891 with his siblings and widowed mother at High Cliff, East Teignmouth, Devon.
Died 30 September 1897 on board HMS Ramillies of peritonitis and cardiac failure on enteric fever and pneumonia.

Alfred Bertie Rombulow Pearse of H.M.S. Ramillies, lieutenant Royal Marine Artillery died 30 September 1897 in Malta. His effects went to his brother Captain Arthur Egmond Rombulow-Pearse Royal Marine Light Service.

Notes for his service record.
He enlisted on the 01 September 1890 as 2nd Lieutenant, promoted to Lieutenant 01 July 1891 and served on shore until the 07 October 1895 when he joined HMS Ramillies. He died on board his ship whilst moored up in the Grand Harbour, Malta on the 30 September 1897. His cause of death was recorded on his record. Peritonitis and cardiac failure. Another record recorded his death as enteric fever and pneumonia.

The funeral of the late Lieut. Alfred Bertie Rombulow-Pearse, Royal Marine Artillery, of H.M.S. Ramillies, took place yesterday at 7. 30 a.m. at the Naval Cemetery, Bighi, and was very largely attended by officers of the Fleet and Garrison. The firing party was composed of Marines of H.M.S. Ramillies.
