Flying Officer Alan George WALSINGHAM. No. 4233039 Royal Air Force stationed at RAF Fairford died 24 March 1969 aged 23 as the result of a Hercules C1 from 30 Squadron Royal Air Force Fairford Wing crashing at RAF Fairford. All six on board were killed.

Inscription on foot of headstone reads - In loving memory of a devoted only son loved and remembered by all.

At rest at South Cerney All Hallows Churchyard, Gloucestershire.
