Agnes Florien FORNERI. Sister CAMC. 8th Canadian General Hospital, France. Born 18 April 1881 at Belleville, Ontario to Rev. Richard S. and Jessie A Forneri, of Peterborough, Ontario. 1891 residing with her parents and siblings at Adolphustown, Lennox, Ontario, Canada. 1901 residing with her parents at Merrickville Village, county of Leeds and Grenville, Ontario, Canada. Enlisted 22 February 1917 at Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Died from a stomach haemorrhage at No 12 Canadian Hospital, Bramshott, England. She died at 04.45 a.m. the 24 April 1918 aged 39 of multiple peptic ulcers. At rest in St Mary Churchyard, Bramshott, Hampshire.

Enlisted 22 February 1917 at Kingston, Ontario, Canada aged 27 years
28 March 1917 embarked from Halifax, Canada, disembarked at Liverpool 07 April 1917 and taken on strength at C.A.M.C. Depot, Westenhanger. Kent.
14 April 1917 duty at Kitchener War Hospital, Brighton and she returned to Westenhanger on the 09 July 1917.
10 July 1917 posted to France where she joined 8th Canadian General Hospital. Saint Cloud, France.
19 November 1917 she was granted 07 day leave to England,
29 January 1918 whilst on leave from France she was admitted into Nurses Hospital, Vincent Square, London
Medical Board. 22 February 1918 she was on a Medical Board and was granted three weeks leave.
Medical Board. 16 March 1918 she was on a medical Board at Middlesex Hospital, 13 Berners Street, London suffering with a debility which occurred at 8th Canadian General Hospital, France. She reported that she has greatly improved and now feels quite fit. No complaints.
20 January 1918 she was posted to 12th Canadian General Hospital, Bramshott, Hampshire from France.
17 April 1918 she was admitted as a patient in her hospital suffering of haemorrhage from her stomach. Some extracts from the consultants’ notes. She had a violent and profuse haemorrhage on the day of admittance. 19 April 1918 she was operated on. 22 April 1918 she did not rally well. Haemorrhage returned with slight fever. She died at 04.45 a.m. on the 24 April 1918 of multiple peptic ulcers.
