This is a General electric M61 Vulcan 20mm rotary canon.
It is seen here at RAF Duxford museum and if I remember right the aircraft it is next to is a Phantom.
I wouldnt want to be on the receiving end of this baby
Bombardier you are right, it is an RAF Phantom, if you look under the aircraft, you can just see a pod with a black front, this is where the was canon is fitted.
