Combat Logistics Battalion 8 received the Marine Corps first Riverine Assault Support Craft and conducted initial testing operations.
The morning began by executing sonar imaging of the under water area with CLB-8’s Unmanned Surface Vessels (USVs), followed by riverine boat operations, which included deployment of USVs from the craft.

USSOCOM presents Capabilities Demonstration during SOF Week 2024​


Service members from U.S. Special Operations Command, the Special Operations Component Commands, and International Special Operations partners and allies, conduct a Special Operations Capabilities Demonstration during Special Operations Forces Week 2024 in Tampa, Florida, May 8, 2024. Special Operations Forces Week is the premier gathering for the SOF community and industry, bringing together more than 21,000 attendees, including representatives from more than 79 countries to collaborate on new initiatives and capabilities needed for SOF professionals to compete and win in the future. Special Operations Forces Week 2024 included the popular “Battle in the Bay” Capabilities Demonstration, and displayed military-tactical operations with 10 different nations by land, air, and sea, complete with fixed-wing and rotary wing aircraft, drones and ships to the city of Tampa

While the HIMARS crew gets ready to fire, 18th Field Artillery Brigade Joint Fire Support Specialists establish an observation post to accurately identify targets using Lightweight Laser Designator Rangefinder (LLDR). During this routine training, a U.S. Air Force MQ-9 Sensor Operator joined the team to cross-train capabilities of JFOs on the ground and gain insight into the capabilities of the MQ-9 Reaper aircraft.
