Jeremy Corbyn apologises for Labour election result

Sent via @updayUK

The only letter worth reading from him is a resignation. But he is desperate to make sure that any replacement will remain loyal to him and his disastres "manifesto". If they can't dump this old red taliban soon, the Labour Party is broken beyond repair.

theres very few here hoping for free broadband, or nationalised and inefficient industries, we tried it, it didn't work, move on Jeremy......

It was surprising to see how many people who have been red their entire lives swing blue. A lot of people distrustful of Momentum and their brand of politics and obviously magic grandpa and his politics.

He underestimated the electorate and tried to appeal to the younger voters with policies around things older people.dont GAS about. Yes they dress them up as old bigots and racists, but the reality is they care little about what is offending the latest woke warrior when all they want is financial security to be able to pay their mortgage and feed their family.

It's about priority, as the youth have very little real problems, as much a may argue otherwise, older generations do and they jsut don't have the time or inclination for that bullshit.

They need to think about that when selecting their next leader and developing their manifesto.

As we know, Jerry doesn’t have any degree, so he has never heard of the Laffer curve:

He wanted to impose a bigger tax on the people who earn above £80k pa.

Yeah, tax the rich heavily and they will fvck off elsewhere.

I’ve read his manifesto on Wikipedia. Now, we can call Maduro a moderate socialist.

He reminds me of my ex father in law. He was this rabid socialist. There was a subdued menace about the man, like there is with a lot. They're all dictators-in-waiting.

Shame, hopefully the party can find a way back and mount a healthy opposition to keep the excess of the Tories in check. All about balance and right now were listing badly.

I agree, I hope Labour can get it together, the opposition are a part of our political system, someone has to point out the crazy ideas that sound good once your in power. ….. But its looking doubtful at the moment, Jeremy is determined to hang on, so he can steer the result to a younger version of himself.....I don't know how Labour runs itself, but time for a bit a change of route, I would suggest.

Also pretty sure most of the moderates have been hounded out by momentum etc, so pickings are a bit thin, I bet Chuka Umunna is pissed off, as he pissed off to the liberals only a few months ago.....

I've never seen so many bitter losers on FB, Vast majority on my fb were voting Labour /SNP and the crybabies protesting on the streets .. on par with the Bitter loser Dems across the Pond .

Some of them were in complete denial that Corbyn was a blatent Terrorist Supporter .. And had one whalloper in my work claiming that the Photo of him laying a wreath at the memorial of a Munich Terrorist was fake ..

Conservatives now have to govern for the good of all the people and Liebour will be out of power for a generation

Interesting, Boris is questionning the BBC's journalistic integrity and impartiality.

SNP got 45% of the vote and 80% of the seats

So let's consider that 55% of the people did not want the SNP or any part of their 'independence' fantasy

They just need to stick to fixing the NHS in Scotland - Schools and a host of other things they have failed at

Also, Boris has already said no to a second referendum- unlucky (Y)

This is where the SNP get you - nowhere

About time Boris looked at the Barnett Formula and came up with something a bit more fair across the whole of the UK - you might have something to whinge about then
Greens got 1% ... many Labour voters support Independence that's the failing of the UK media ... SNP are not the Independence movement they are part of it and more telling 75% of the electorate voted for parties opposing Brexit

the thing is the vast majority of Scots voted to remain int he EU and London cannot force Scotland to remain in the union ... the truth is London is in total fear of losing it's cash cow .. the lies of us being subsidy junkies will be proven as sheer myth

The People of the UK Voted to LEAVE .... You had portions of MP's from all Parties that went against the People's vote to Leave the EU ..

Doesn't matter how many voted to Stay .. they LOST THE VOTE ,

Scotland voted to remain in the EU .. Scotland is not a region we are a nation state 75% of the votes went to parties that support remaining in the EU and one of the main claims/statements by the pro unionists in 2014 stated that the only way that Scotland can remain part of the EU is by voting NO that was central to the no campaign without it along with the promise of near federalism and the promise that all future referendums would be issued from Holyrood ... the UK would not exist today ... either it's coming to a end very soon London cannot force Scotland to remain in the UK
