Lance Corporal 935393 William LONEY, (known as Ginger) 2nd Parachute Regiment killed in action at battle of Arnhem 17th September of 1944 aged 26. He was the son of William Lionel Loney and Mary Ellen, nee Oates of Dewsbury. His remains where laid to rest at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem, Gelderland, Netherland with the words. A soldier of the 1939-1945 war. He has been finally identified 72 years later.
