Private 9389 Robert Arthur BURGESS 8th Royal Fusiliers killed in action 13th April 1916 at Vermelles aged 19 He was the son of Frederick and Harriet of Mossley, Congleton. He enlisted in November 1914. he is commemorated on his parent memorial (kerb stone) in the Holy Trinity Churchyard, Mossley near Congleton, Cheshire and he is at rest in the Vermelles British Cemetery, France
