If you want to embed your media uploads into a forum post you do not have to flick between the forums and the media section anymore.

Just click the camera icon in the tools above your post and a window will open below with all your uploaded media inside.

Place your cursor where you want the media to be inserted and click the relevant media

it will insert the code required like so
Code:
[GALLERY=media, 98045]1st Recon USMC engage Taliban by Bombardier posted Dec 4, 2015 at 9:03 AM[/GALLERY]

See pic

This also works when commenting on media in the galleries

No problem buddy. It makes things much easier.
It also helps to maintain the integrity of the thread as the images are hosted with us, on our servers.
Should members use photobucket for example and then later in time delete the images from that host, we get the infamous red cross instead of the image

You could also use the file upload button in the post editor and upload them there

That is an excellent tool and as you say makes creating a thread with one of your photos much easier, thanks also

Yes the best place to upload your military photos is the media section however thats not a hard and fast rule, you decide what best for you.
The reason the media area is better is because you can organise your photos into albums or upload to the ready made galleries. You can then use the code to post your pics on any forum anywhere (if they allow it) or as I said post to your threads.

Dont forget when you upload photos to your thread you can just drag and drop them into the thread
See the image below, when you drag the photo across into the box, this it what you will see
