Movie / TV What's the last movie you watched

The Flash.

Awful.

It's... it's just awful. A purge from start to finish on every level.
The CGI is trash, the story is built around nothing, the acting is terrible and the whole thing is basically Ezra Miller talking to himself.

I thought that was brilliant .. well impressed with it

Mission Impossible (1996)

It's held up really well - conspiracy thriller with lots of Bryan De Palma weird angle shots in it. The heist scene of breaking into the CIA headquarters made me laugh - think Tom Cruise being lowered on the harness got parodied everywhere at the time.

Donnie Darko (2001)

Wow..... I had only seen about the first 10 minutes prior to Saturday night. My wife wanted to see it. We rented it online. and we both got taken out of our day-to-day thoughts with this dark and thought provoking flashback into the late 1980s.

The finest adaptation of the story ... better than that awful 70s remake

Just got back from Oppenheimer.

Great film, powerful, thought provoking and the 180 mn fly by.

I had to google almost all the guys coming home, (apart from Einstein of course) to try to grasp the immense complexity of the project. Cilian plays a complex person with dedication to the project in the middle of deep considerations about what the future holds.

A man called Otto, not too bad.
Oppenheimer, pretty epic, could have shaved a bit out of the middle.
Sound of Freedom, heart breaking.

Babylon. About three hours of loud, quick and obnoxious chatter but apparently a masterpiece. Not for me.

Every damn movie today has got to be this long to be labeled a masterpiece it seems.

I missed out on Oppenheimer and have zero interest in Mission Impossible or that last Indie movie.
